Casual Looks For The Holidays

I’ve featured different outfits to wear for Christmas parties and New Year’s but not for everyday gatherings like visiting with your family. Below are 4 different outfit ideas that you can wear while lounging around. This post is for those that want to add a little sparkle and shine to their outfits and remain comfortable.

The key to dressing casually during the holidays is to have some comfortable pants, a great holiday sweater, a cardigan with some cute details like sparkles, a statement necklace and cute footwear.

Outfit #1- Perfect for travelling

This outfit is perfect for travelling. You have comfy, cozy winter boots, jeans and a warm turtleneck that you can layer over a t-shirt and remove if you get too hot. For some color I added a turquoise bracelet. It’s versatile and comfortable.

Outfit #2- Playing games with the family

First off, these pants from the Gap are absolutely amazing. Although they are a skinny cut and are tight to put on, once they are on, they feel amazing. It’s like wearing leggings, but they are pants. AND THEY STRETCH!!!! The waist fits like a trouser pant, so you don’t have to worry about muffin top. I will definitely be wearing these pants during the holidays. The rest of the outfit is pretty simple white t-shirt and a cute bow, sequin cardigan. This is a great, comfortable outfit.

Outfit #3- Holiday brunch

I love the bow detail on this sweater, which makes this perfect to wear during the holidays for a family brunch. It’s not flashy and over-the-top, but a perfect simple, comfortable outfit.

Outfit #4- Visiting with friends

IMG_1182Dress (Gap). Leggings (Jacob). Shoes (Rocket Dog). Necklace (Joe Fresh).

This dress was made for catching up with friends over coffee. It’s such a versatile and classic look, that you can really do anything with it. You could layer a turtleneck over it, add a cardigan and belt it, or just wear it as I showed. The sequin ballet flats and the statement necklace add some sparkle to the outfit. The dress is very comfortable and as you guys already know, I love stripes.

Remember comfortable pants, statement necklace, a cute cardigan and holiday sweater, and cute footwear and you are set for the holidays.

May this blog inspire you to add some sparkle to your casual holiday look.

Happy Friday Everyone and Weekend!!!!

These outfits are so cute! But what’s better yet is that they all look so COMFORTABLE! And no one wants to spend the holidays in some tight, stuffy outfit when all you’re tryna do is eat holiday food and Christmas cookies! 🙂
