A Week Do-Over and What to Wear on the Weekend

I have to say that I’m DONE with this week!!!! It’s been exhausting on all fronts!!!! My son had his second poopie accident of the week this morning. So instead of enjoying my warm coffee and getting ready leisurely, I spent an hour cleaning him up, disinfecting the bath tub and the downstairs sink, and then cleaning out his underwear. I know that I’m a nurse, but even I find it revolting. I feel like I’m one short straw away from having the camel’s back broken. Between the rats, flies, poopie accidents and our son keeping us up at night, I’M DONE!!! What I wouldn’t give to hop on a plane and get away for a few days!!! :). I know that my life could be much worse but I need to vent. If I could re-do parts of this week, I would. I apologize for my rant, it’s just been a very, very, very long week!!!!

Anyways, after being off of work for six weeks, I am finally headed back this Sunday. I was scheduled to work within these past six weeks but my pain was too much. I finally feel like I’m almost 100% back to normal. I have a specialist appointment on Tuesday and I’m hoping she tells me that I can stop taking my medication and get back to normal. I’m dying to start working out again and doing yoga.

I had a great time at last night’s Sephora’s VIB event. I found a great lipstick for the holidays. Not something that I would normal wear but my husband and my friend approve. I only took a few pictures of my friend and I but I got some great looks for my post. Will post about holiday makeup looks next week. Thanks again Kathryn for coming with me.

This is what I wore today. It remains sunny and cold, so of course I opted for a sweater, skinny jeans and boots. This is also a great example of an outfit you could wear on the weekend.

Sweater (Old Navy). Jeans (R W and Co.). Boots (Browns). Necklace (Banana Republic). Bracelets (Poshlocket). Watch (Michael Kors).

What I wore today ties into the theme of this post which is what to wear on the weekend. I came up with the idea for this post last weekend. I find it can be hard to dress for the weekend, because some people dress up all week and just want to go casual, others never leave the comfort of their sweats and some don’t even know where to start. The first thing you need is to have clothes in your closet to choose from. Once you have items in your closet, it’s easy to put together outfits. Start with a basic pant: leggings or jeans or even a casual skirt. Then add a tank top, t-shirt, or striped shirt and then you can layer a sweater or cardigan on top of it. Add some boots or flats and then you can spice things up with some accessories like a bright scarf or hat. Below are examples of different outfits for the weekend.

Please don’t forget that this Sunday November 11 is Rememberance/Veteran’s Day. Please take the time to remember those that fought and lost their lives for us and those who continue to fight. I will be posting a very special post this Sunday dedicated to my friend George who died in Afghanistan almost 3 years ago.

Happy Friday and Weekend Everyone!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
