Rodent/Fly Update and Sweaters Don’t Have To Be Boring!!!!

Here is an update on our rodent and fly problem: The flies seem to be dying down, thank God!!!! Now that that problem is solved let’s move onto our furry friends. They have chewed through the wires of our car. I noticed last week that the engine light was on and told my husband. Yesterday at the dealership, they told us that the rats had chewed through the wiring. Needless to say a few hundred dollars later, neither my husband nor I are impressed. We will be dealing with our rodent problem ASAP. Good news, we placed a trap underneath our car and caught the sucker (well at least I hope it was him)!!!!

This morning after dropping my son off at preschool, I had the chance to have coffee with a friend. I can’t remember the last time I had an hour to talk to someone without being interrupted every 5 minutes. This is what I wore today. Nothing too fancy a turtleneck, skinny jeans, riding boots and my pink trench coat. It’s pouring rain again today, but they say it’s supposed to get nicer tomorrow :).

Turtleneck (J Crew). Jeans & T-Shirt (Gap). Watch (Michael Kors). Bracelets (Poshlocket). Boots (Browns).

From rodents to sweaters!!! 🙂 Sweaters, like the title says, don’t have to be boring!!!! There are so many varieties of sweaters that they can not be described as plain, drab, dull or unexciting. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, lengths and textures. The choices are endless. You can easily dress them up with a statement necklace or sparkles, add a colorful scarf, jacket, or cardigan. Here are my choices for “non-boring” sweaters and different ways to spruce them up:

1. Find one with a unique design on it.

4. Add jewelry to spice up a simple sweater.

5. Get a sparkly sweater

Sweater (Guess). Jeans (Gap). Boots (Fergalicious). Bracelet & Necklace (Stella & Dot). Watch (Michael Kors).

6. Layer a plain sweater over a button top, add a sparkly necklace, bright trench coat and sparkly flats.

7. Add some color and layer it over a button top.

Sweater & Skirt (Gap). Chambray Shirt (American Eagle). Boots (EMU).

As you can see sweaters are great to have in your closet because of their versatility and ability to create many new outfits.

May this blog inspire you to add some unique sweaters to your closet and to see how you can change up your plain, old sweaters.
